About Us

  • Yes!

    No out-of-state interests.

    No outside investors.

  • We price our arrays, so you break even in about 6-8 years, but there are a lot of factors at play. We do a decent job summarizing the details, so please reach out for a free estimate.

  • Our legal address is 1426 Bucksmills Road in Bucksport, however this is a personal residence, so please respect the privacy of our owner.

    Our team is 100% remote. We don’t need a physical location because materials are delivered directly to the job site.

  • We install solar all over the state!

  • We use W-2 employees exclusively. This ensures we are invested into the business, and provides long-term stability for both of us.

  • Yes, our work is installed by one of our three electricians. We are also insured and provide our own personal warranty for workmanship.

About Warranties

  • Our installations are warrantied for 5 years, and cover defects in labor and workmanship.

  • Our solar panels typically have a product warranty for 12 or 25 years, and a power output warranty for 25 or 30 years. It depends on what panel we select for your installation.

  • Our inverters are warrantied for 25 years.

  • Our batteries are warrantied for 15 years.

  • Yes, you can repair your own equipment without us voiding your warranty. However, if you do damage your equipment while attempting to repair it, we will have to charge you to fix the issue. If you ever have an issue to fix your equipment, I highly recommend giving us a call before attempting any repairs.

About Solar for Homeowners

  • Yes, we specialize in rooftop solar arrays.

  • We only install batteries for off-grid systems.

  • We only install ground mounts for businesses and off-grid customers.

  • No, because we haven't needed one.. We focus on installing high-quality equipment rarely malfunctions. We have multiple electricians on our crew, so it’s easy for us to pull an electrician from our installation crew to service your equipment as necessary.

About Solar for Businesses

  • Yes, we provide rooftop solar arrays and ground-mounted solar arrays for businesses.

  • We only install batteries for off-grid systems.

About Off-Grid Solar

  • No, that would be insane.

    We intentionally do not connect our off-grid systems to the internet, because we don't want manufacturers or bad actors to be able to update software or change settings as they see fit.

  • Yes

  • We don't have a dedicated service department, because we haven't needed one. We only install high-quality equipment, so it rarely malfunctions.

    We have multiple electricians, so it’s easy for us to pull an electrician from our installation crew when the occasion arises.

  • Yes and no.

    We have off-grid customers in locations that are inaccessible during various seasons, so we ensure you're prepared to battle the elements before you sign our installation contract.

    We really are a local, thoughtful solar installer, and we know that a winter in Maine will easily kill you if you don't have heat. Therefore, we require a secondary power source (e.g. wood stove, gasoline generator, etc) to ensure you stay warm over Winter. Being off-grid is about being prepared, and we are willing to help with that, but we are not 911.

    With all of that said, we are a business and often willing to negotiate. If you deem a servicing agreement necessary, we will give you an opportunity to state your case.

About Finances

  • The Federal Government provides a 30% tax credit for solar and battery installations, which is not the same as a rebate. Please speak to your accountant for more information.

  • Our prices are designed to provide a payback period in roughly 6-8 years. If you are financing, the payback period can increase by 1-2 years.
